Angela discovered her love of the ukulele in her youth as a participant in the Chalmers Doane Ukulele Program. Along with playing the piano and clarinet, she enjoyed a rich, music-filled childhood.
Music remained a lifelong passion as she explored other career paths. In her spare time she began teaching children to play the ukulele marking the beginning of a new musical chapter. Meeting ukulele virtuoso James Hill further inspired her development, leading ultimately to her role as Director of Teacher Training at Uketropolis an online ukulele learning platform. Angela currently serves as a teacher and music coach with the Doane Music School in Toronto, under the direction of Melanie Doane. In addition, she maintains a private teaching studio, holds the position of Music Director at St. Andrew’s Church, Truro, Nova Scotia and has directed a variety of ensembles, including the Marigold Ukulele Players. As a performer she recently played the ukulele in the world premiere of the musical Frenchy’s, The Thrift Musical at Ships’s Company Theatre and she plays ukulele, bass, and piano with the Chalmers Doane Trio, bringing her ukulele journey full circle. |

Chris is originally from Happy Valley - Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador but, has been living, playing, and teaching music in Miramichi since 2011. He has been involved in musical performance from a young age from musical theater productions to solo instrumental works and enjoys sharing the gift of music to this day. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music and Music Education from Memorial University of Newfoundland and has been playing the saxophone for about 26 years. Chris is also the proud conductor of the Miramichi Beginner Concert Band which rehearses on a weekly basis. He also runs his own private music studio where he teaches a variety of instruments as well as singing under the business name, Mighty River Music Services.
