COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

We are cautiously optimistic that NB (and the Atlantic Bubble) will remain within the green phase of recovery with little to no restrictions.  However, we realize and are sympathetic to the reality that situations can change quickly and not everyone may feel 100% comfortable returning to "normal" operations as quickly as others.  Below are further details on protocols that will be incorporated as necessary.

VACCINATIONS

​At this time, vaccinations are not mandatory for everyone within NB and therefore, they are not mandatory for people to participate in Bathurst Band Fest.  We suggest you follow the advice of Public Health and take personalized precautions as you see fit.  We will not be asking for vaccination status.

SUGGESTIONS

For the overall safety and comfort of those attending Bathurst Band Fest 2022, we strongly encourage everyone to have the following while attending Band Fest 2022:
  • Face mask.
  • Bell cover for your instrument where applicable (pantyhose is a cheap way to do this if you wish).
  • Water cloth for the floor where applicable.

OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES

Please know that no one will be judging you based on personal safety choices and we believe everyone should do what they feel most comfortable with.

If you are not feeling well, PLEASE STAY HOME!

Hand sanitizer will be readily available and is encouraged regularly.

You are welcome to physically distance yourself as much as possible during rehearsals although it is not mandatory.

Wearing a face mask when not playing your instrument is not mandatory but, you may do so at your discretion.

CANCELLATION PROCEDURES

Should the COVID situation get significantly worse, the event would be cancelled for everyone's safety.

If the Band Fest Committee cancels the event, those already registered would receive a full refund.
